#hebbeauty Beauty Blogger Giveaway: Orchid Professional Nail Laquer

by Heather on August 1, 2011

One of my treats I look forward to every 2 weeks is getting my nails done.  I just love the way they look when I leave not to mention the foot massage!  With this summer being so crazy there have been a few times that I’ve had to miss my appointment and do a quick polish change at home.  As free as some brands are nothing seems to beat investing in a great salon quality brand like Orchid.

Orchid’s professional formula glides on smoothly, dries fast and stays on for days.  Next to the shellac type polishes this polish lasts the longest of any I’ve tried.  It’s free from harmful ingredients such as formaldehyde, tolunene and DBP.  Orchid offers 64 must have shades.

Print this Orchid Nail Lacquer coupon and take on your next trip to H-E-B.

(2) Lucky Frugal Reality Readers will win their own set of (3) Polishes and (1) Top Coat from Orchid.

  • To enter simply leave me comments with your favorite nail polish shades, tips, creative ways you make you color last longer, send me pictures of nails all “dressed up” in your favorite polish etc.  Get creative.
  • Giveaway will end August 10th.  Winners will have 48hrs to respond.

H-E-B wants to hear from you too!

I just spotted the Orchid polishes in my HEB in Leander TX last week. I’m going to print the coupon and try one out – they have some beautiful colors.

I always make sure to wrap the tips of my nails when I’m polishing them – avoids as much tip wear and they seem to be stronger.

Is there a web site where I can look at the colors, or are they strictly in-store?

Heather August 3, 2011 at 1:03 pm

You may be able to find them on ORCHIDS website.

How much were they are your HEB?

Melina August 6, 2011 at 12:22 am

Sorry for the typo on my last comment! I went to HEB and it looks like they are $4.97. Also, I wanted to enter the contest so here is a recent mani I did in black and white nail polish! http://i.imgur.com/SM2fo.jpg

I just discovered from reading a nail blog that soaking a cotton ball in acetone remover, placing it on nail and then wrapping it in foil removes the hardest of nail polish in five minutes. It’s quick and gets rid of any trace of polish, especially glitters!

I love plums and pinks. I always make sure to roll my nail polish in between my hands, rather than shaking the bottle because it eliminates any chance of bubbling when applying it.
Thanks!

I really like nail polish! As a college student, I’m always trying new shades to match my outfits! Right now my favorite colors to wear are matte shades from Zoya. The cool thing about mattes is that if you put a clear top coat on them, you can make them have a shiny finish instead. Thanks!

These colors look great! My favorite shades right now are any color with a matte top coat. Thanks!

I mostly like light pink shades because they are less likely to show chips!

My only tip is that I choose my colors based on the names of them. I like it when the name says something about me or an occasion.

I enjoy using pretty pinks or fun reds for a pedi, and natural gloss or french mani for my fingernails. :-) And I like using q-tips dipped in a little remover to help keep the outline/edges nice and neat.
