Personal Goal #1: Read More This Year

Aside from my 2012 Blogging Goals I am working on setting my personal ones.  These I’m finding to be a bit more challenging.  Maybe because I know myself a little better than the blogosphere.

I was really wanting a Kindle Fire for Christmas but realized it to be somewhat of an unrealistic purchase.  If the main function is to be able to read books then shouldn’t I, oh I don’t know READ? I have a collection of books that make my bookshelf look all pretty but the only one I read regularly is my Bible.  It helps too that I’ve kept myself accountable for that much by taking on the teaching roles of a Sunday School class and Children’s Church Ministry.

I’ve decided that if I read at least 3 books by summer then I deserve a reward….like the Kindle Fire.  Here are the books I’ve choose from my collection to complete.

  1. Love & Respect: The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs
  2. Decision Points
  3. The Laws of Prosperity

Lera got all the girls one a few years ago. I’ve started it several times. I always stop reading it when something applies to me…. Now I’m determined to finish it. Thanks for the offer though!
