It’s been over a month now that I’ve had this new Samsung Galaxy S III. In my first review I shared my thoughts on the picture quality. This time it’s all about power. Batter power that is.
I’ve ran both phones down to 15% and plugged them in to charge at the same time. I really expected the outcome to be a pretty close race. Just on the contrary, the iPhone SMOKED the Galaxy! Not by like 20% either. When the iPhone was fully charged the Galaxy was only at 54%!!! This charging was on the standard manufacture issued chargers.
What’s even worse than that is the Galaxy battery life itself doesn’t last…even when not used. How does that make sense? On the weekends we visit some family that is in BFE. You know this means weak service which in turn sucks your battery. Again both phones were fully charged at the start of the day. The iPhone had quite a bit more use b/c of phone calls and such. I hardly used the Galaxy. Guess who was dead by dinner time? Not my iPhone!
So would I say I’ve gained any new respect for this phone? Um, no. Still trying stuff out and comparing with the performance of the iPhone. Stay tuned for more!
These are just some of the many thoughts on this new smartphone. Stay tuned for more insights on the Samsung Galaxy S III.
