For those that follow through Facebook and Twitter you may recall last month I was at an event called H-E-B Beauty Roadhshow. This is where H-E-B Beauty Department staff (and now the Beauty Bloggers) meet with dozens of vendors over the course of 2 very quick days. We are shown all of the latest greatest products that have just hit or are getting ready to hit the stores.
There are so many great products hitting shelfs that we war able to try it’s hard to pick just one to feature. I’ll try to be brief on some of my favorites.
My 3yr old LOVES the Conair HJ3BC Quick Gems Hair Jeweler. She thinks she’s just big stuff with her “bling bling hair”! I always have a hard time with any face products like moisturizers and foundations. I always end up at the department store spending more money than I want too.
I have been using Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Powder Illumunating Transparent (Pack of 2). A little conceler and this light weight powder gives my complexion the polished yet natural appearance I’m looking for.
I’m not getting overloaded with greasy foundations I’ve been able to use the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Regenerating Skincare Day/Night Cream, 1.6-Fluid Ounce. It’s also non-greasy and light weight.
I’ll pushing these items not because I was given them or asked to review items but because I really do love them and plan on purchasing them once I’m out. There were so many other great products I received but there’s only so much time in the day.
Like I said we were blessed with overwhelming bags of goodies. I’ve given most to friends and family but still have a good pile left. I want to stuff a box and send one lucky reader a beauty box too.

I was REALLY excited to receive the Fekkai Glossing Start Kit as a review item this month especially after last months disastrous ordeal. I love getting to review products that are actually used in salons and are no doubt salon quality. As I’ve mentioned before my hair is a bit temperamental when it comes to “drug store” shampoos. While this particular set can be purchased at H-E-B it is of a great enough quality that my hair doesn’t “ahead” like other cheaper brands.

As you know each month the H-E-B Beauty Bloggers are sent a product to personally try, write a review and host a giveaway. I always make my reviews 100% original. For the most part I’ve loved or at least liked everything I’ve tried. Some items have been items I’ve bought since then and others not so much.
In my reviews I do a quick read of the directions and then try the product. Most have been no brainers. The product sent in March was a little different than that of past products. It was the new Suave Keratin Treatment. I have had these treatments done several times before at salons and always had great results. I did the quick read, followed the directions for colored hair (even cut the time in half) and then the nightmare began.
Once i finished the treatment my hair looked like it had been sat on fire. I’m not even close to exaggerating. I cried, a lot. After consulting with the other Beauty Bloggers I was not the only one with a negative experience.
There is a quiz HERE that is supposed to be taken first. I took the test 3 times with different results twice. Reguardless of the results my hair was still pretty much destroyed. I went to my salon for help. Over the next 3 weeks and a few hundred dollars later my hair is in better condition. It’s not near back to normal and I still can’t color it.
I’m telling you all of this to say that when you enter the giveaway below be careful of the instructions and the quiz. You can visit the other Beauty Bloggers reviews to see those that it actually did work for and see if maybe your hair will as well.

I see you shaking your head with that puzzled face. I hear you saying “Maybe 2 of them are related put where does Pregnancy come in?” Sit back and let me tell you.
For those reading this that aren’t my usual crowd, I am 3 mo pregnant. If you’ve ever known a pregnant person you’ll understand that the first trimester is usually try most draining. Someday’s I have to talk myself into getting out of bed. Am I huge already? Um no, not hardly but I do have another person sucking my energy and food supply already.
Being a blogger of mainly “time sensitive” material I can’t just blog when I feel like it. The deals maybe here today but gone by lunch. I have to be able to post them yesterday.
Luckily for me I have been blessed with 2 very nice piece of technology to make life much easier for those days when I don’t want to get out of bed. Oh how I LOVE my Razr and XYBoard from Verizon!
I hear you, “What in the world does your phone have to do with blogging?” Plenty brother. This wonderful little 4G phone has this super fast HotSpot on it. So days when my WIFI is needing an attitude adjustment or I’m out in BFE at the in-laws I can still work! I have used my fair share of air cards and pda.net type tethering and NEVER had something work as fast as this HotSpot! I was like I was plugged straight into the internet servers main deal. (or whatever it is) Never dropped a signal, told me I couldn’t access a page, nothing. Totally impressed and sold on that service!
Moving on to my XYBoard. Sure I can work from my laptop in bed when I have a lot of stuff to get done but when I’m just deal hunting or social media updating this tablet is quite handy. My husband had a similar model from a competitor and it was junk. Not sure if it was the service provider, the device itself, a combo or what. This tablet it awesome! Super fast (duh it’s 4G), great sound and none skipping picture!
Like I’ve stated before, while I was hoping to try some “fruit products” I have been overly impressed with the 2 I”ve received. It’s my understanding that Verizon does not offer “fruit” with 4G service and until they do I probably will not get them. You seriously cannot bet how fast it is!
