Don’t these look good? This is such a neat idea and I can’t wait to try it. I found the Hidden Surprise Easter Egg Treats recipe on Kellogg’s Rice Krispies website. Here’s the quick on how to make these at home for your kiddos.
What You’ll Need:
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows
- - OR -
- 4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
- 1/2 cup M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies
- Canned frosting or decorating gel (optional)
- 12 Plastic snap-apart 3 x 2-in Easter eggs
How To Do It:
- Coat inside of plastic eggs with cooking spray.
- Melt butter over low heat.
- Add marshmallows & stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal & stir until well coated.
- Using greased hands, firmly press 1/4 cup of the cereal mixture into each plastic egg half. Use fingers to make hollow center in each half.
- Remove from molds & place on wax paper.
- Put about 6 M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies in one half of each egg.
- Gently press two halves of each egg together until they stick. Cool completely.
- Decorate with frosting and additional M&M’S® Brand Chocolate Candies.

I found this idea on Pinterest and while trying to track the original source came up short. This is what I’ve gathered from the picture and my own experience of how to make your own Easter Bunny Bark.
What You’ll Need:
- 1 pound white chocolate melting wafers
- 1 cup thin pretzel sticks, broken
- M&M’s brand peanut or regular chocolate in pastel colors (12oz bag)
- *optional for design purposed
–>1/2 cup each pink colored melting chocolate wafers and pastel green colored melting chocolate wafers
–>Green sprinkles
- *You can melt all on top of the white chocolate for a traditional “bark” recipe OR you can melt on top of graham crackers or other light dessert time cookie
How To Do It:
- cover cookie sheet in parchment paper (or wax if you don’t have the other)
- spread 3/4 M&Ms and pretzels all over the sheet
- melt white chocolate throughly until all is completely melted and smooth
- pour over sheet mixture
- while white choc. is still hot, sprinkle the rest over the top of the white chocolate
- refrigerate until hardened, then storage in air tight bags or containers.
- * If you use the cookies/crackers you can place them down first on the wax paper.
*If you are the original owner of this recipe/picture please email your information and I”ll give you proper credit.
