Store Deals

For those that follow through Facebook and Twitter you may recall last month I was at an event called H-E-B Beauty Roadhshow.  This is where H-E-B Beauty Department staff (and now the Beauty Bloggers) meet with dozens of vendors over the course of 2 very quick days.  We are shown all of the latest greatest products that have just hit or are getting ready to hit the stores.

There are so many great products hitting shelfs that we war able to try it’s hard to pick just one to feature.  I’ll try to be brief on some of my favorites.

My 3yr old LOVES the Conair HJ3BC Quick Gems Hair Jeweler. She thinks she’s just big stuff with her “bling bling hair”!  I always have a hard time with any face products like moisturizers and foundations. I always end up at the department store spending more money than I want too.

I have been using Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Powder Illumunating Transparent (Pack of 2). A little conceler and this light weight powder gives my complexion the polished yet natural appearance I’m looking for.

I’m not getting overloaded with greasy foundations I’ve been able to use the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Regenerating Skincare Day/Night Cream, 1.6-Fluid Ounce. It’s also non-greasy and light weight.

I’ll pushing these items not because I was given them or asked to review items but because I really do love them and plan on purchasing them once I’m out. There were so many other great products I received but there’s only so much time in the day.

Like I said we were blessed with overwhelming bags of goodies.  I’ve given most to friends and family but still have a good pile left. I want to stuff a box and send one lucky reader a beauty box too.

This giveaway will last through midnight 5/31. To enter simply leave a comment on this post with your favorite beauty tip, trip, product info, thoughts on the Beauty Blogger program etc. As long as it’s theme related it counts! No bonus entries this time.

For part of my Mother’s Day gifts I received an iPhone. I’ve been looking around for the best deals on accessories for it and ran across this deal on USB Sync and Charging Cable Compatible with Apple iPhone (White). You can these right now for only $0.99 including shipping! I found a whole list of awesome stuff (some on sale and some not hardly) that I thought you may want to check out too.

LifeProof Waterproof Shockproof and Dirtproof iPhone Case for the iPhone 4S/4 – Pink: $79.99 shipped

One thing I did splurge a bit on was a LifeProof Waterproof Shockproof and Dirtproof iPhone Case for the iPhone. I did get mine from Best Buy and used my rewards from a recent large purchase but still I was OOP quite a bit more than I wanted to spend.

These cases are far superior to the Otterbox being that they not only have a life time guarantee but product your phone if it’s submerged under water up to 6ft! What other case makes that claim? Ourwhole family is or has switched over. Think about $80 for the case OR $700 for a new phone?

One of my favorite celebrity chefs is Giada De Laurentiis.  I have been slowly collecting piece of her cookware. This morning Target.com has her 5 piece bakeware set as part of their Daily Deals.  You can grab the set for $24.99 shipped!  I know I am, it’s time to throw out that dinosaur age cheap junk I’ve been using.

You may also want to note that this set is not available in stores. I’m sure you could find the individual pieces but you know when you separate it the price goes up.  This would also make a great wedding shower or house warming gift.

Have you ever wanted to find some new and unique products to switch up your meal routine when grocery shopping?  Well that’s exactly what H-E-B is doing by introducing Primo Picks in select San Antonio and Houston stores.

What’s a Primo Pick?

Unique, tasty, and cool products you may have never heard of or tried before.  Products that H-E-B searched the world for and brought home just for you.

I received a bountiful box of Primo Pick goodies and have been devouring them one at a time. I think my favorites so far have been the cookies!  The Italian soda was a close second. I haven’t had a chance to try them all just yet. When I find something that beats out these too primo picks I”ll let you know.

Be sure to look all through out the store for specially marked items with the Primo Picks tag.  There should also be a section in your weekly ad with the feature of the week.
