5 Layer Greek Dip by The Lovely Cupboard

• Hummus (homemade or store bought)
• red bell pepper
• kalamata olives
• cucumber
• feta cheese
• fresh dill

1. Finely chop olive, bell pepper, cucumber, and dill.
2. Spread hummus about 1-2 inches thick in the bottom of a wide serving dish.
3. Sprinkle the vegetables evenly over the hummus.
4. Crumble feta cheese on top.
5. Sprinkle bits of dill and serve with warm pita slices.

Meet the Dubiens has made this great DIY Kids project for making your own bath paints.  you know the name brand ones in the store are pretty ridiculously priced and if you can score free shaving cream then this makes the project even cheaper!

What You’ll Need:

1. foaming shaving cream – I got the stuff for sensitive skin
2. food colouring
3. container – a silicone muffin pan works great
4. paint brushes

How To Do It:

1. Squirt some foaming shaving cream in each of the 6 compartments of your muffin tin
2. Add food colouring to each one to make whatever colours you want – I did rainbow colours. Mix them up well.
3. Give to your kiddo in the tub and let them have a blast!

I just thought this was way too cool.  say good bye to the standard black or green chalkboard and hello to a color explosion!  This is so simple and possibly cheap.  I say possibly b/c if you already have the extras laying around the garage you won’t have to venture to the store.  HUGE thanks to Going Home to Roost for the idea.

What You’ll Need:

• flat latex paint in your desired color
•  unsanded tile grout (2 tbls for each 1 cup of paint)
• a roller or brush
• 150 grit sandpaper
• painter’s tape
• chalk

How To Do It:

1. for small areas, mix one cup at a time.  stir 2 tbsp of unsanded tile grout into one cup of paint, making sure any clumps dissolve.
2. apply the mixture to either a roller or brush and and begin painting your surface.  make sure to coat evenly and thoroughly (mine took about 3 coats).  then, let it dry.
3. once dry, sand the surface with your 150 grit sand paper to smooth it.
4. to condition, run your chalk complety over the entire surface, and wipe clean.
5. enjoy your new chalkboard!
