RAZR Review: Week 1 #VZWA #SAMP

by Heather on February 1, 2012

It’s been over a week since I received the new DROID RAZR from Verizon.  I will admit at first I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t a fruit but I got over it and moved on. Like I said before I’ve had some type of Android phone for the better part of 18mo.  I didn’t really figure this one would be any different.  To my surprise though,  I’m LOVIN’ it!  It’s really fast!  The 4G has only gone down to 3G when I’ve “gone to the country”.

Pet Peeve #1: The battery doesn’t last a full day, even with limited use.

Simple Face Care: Review & #Giveaway (2 Winners)

by Heather on February 1, 2012

Wow, the first month of H-E-B’s Beauty Blogger Program for 2012 sure did go fast!  After a great set of face care products last month, we were given another set to compare.  Simple Face Care is another set of products on my list of favorites!

My favorite product was the facial wipes.  I love the convenience of having a wipe to remove my make up rather than soaps and cleaners.  The whole set have a light, refreshing scent.  The wipes leave your face clean with just one wipe.  Some other brands I’ve tried I guess aren’t as absorbent and cause you to use multiple wipes.  If you’ve scene me you know I don’t wear just a ton of make up so it’s not like the wipes are having to “work real hard”.

Product Details:

The Scoop: The UK‘s number one facial skincare line has crossed the pond and made its way onto our must-try list. Formulated for sensitive skin, Simple is free from dyes, perfumes and irritants. The H-E-B Beauty Panel swapped out our old night time skin care routines for a new way to wash away the day. We tested the Simple line of Cleansing Facial Wipes, Moisturizing Facial Wash and Vital Vitamin Night Cream.

Moisturizing Facial Wash – 100% soap free with added vitamins including Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E to nourish skin.

Cleansing Facial Wipes – Cleanses, refreshes and removes waterproof mascara with added Pro-Vitamin B5.

Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches & College Football: Tales of a Monday Night Snack

Nothing goes better with watching the game than finger foods.  Guy foods.  Quick fix foods.  Ya know stuff you can shove in your mouth with out taking your eyes off the game – kinda foods.  We have been enjoying watching all the bowl games lately but getting a little burnt out on our usual snacks.  When asked to to the Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches we were pretty excited.

I’m usually not a big fan of microwavable meals but I thought this being a sandwich and a Tyson product how bad could it be.  So Miss Thing and I loaded up and out we went.   Tyson Sandwiches are fairly new so they aren’t being carried in just any ole store.  We had to venture a bit farther down the road to Walmart.  Those of you who know me well know Walmart is not a place a shop frequently.  Nevertheless since we were going  I wanted to check out a few coupon deals I read about.

The sandwiches were pretty easy to find in the freezer section although I had to wonder why the garlic bread was so close…Guess that’s Walmart for ya.  Anyway, we picked up a few more things and off we went.

Buy game time the kids were crashing so it was just me and DH.  As you can tell from the picture on Google+ he was more into the photographer role than I was.  More importantly you want to know did the sandwiches live up to my expectations.  The answer is yes.  They had the same great taste that I love about Tyson products.  Do I like them being cooked in the microwave?  No truly. I would cook them in the toaster oven the next time but that’s just my preference.

My conclusion:
Tyson Mini Sandwiches are a great snack for watching the game, after playing a game, after school snack, quick fix meal etc.

We are the start of another fabulous year with H-E-B’s Beauty Blogger program!  This month we are kicking things off with an Orchid Brand set of Face Care Products.  Included is a heat activated facial mask, firming lift face serum, anti-aging eye roller and acne spot treatment.

The first product I tried was the mask and let me tell you I am in LOVE with this mask!  It is heat activated and unlike some others I’ve tried, it doesn’t leave your face all red and irritated.  When you add the water to at after application it’s supposed to heat up and open your pores.  Well it did for me!  I tried unsuccessfully to take a picture of my pores.  I didn’t even know they would open up like they did before I used this mask.  It’s amazing!  It scrubbed of some of the dead skin around my nose and left my skin feeling soft and smooth.  LOVE IT!

My next favorite is the serum.  I put it on immediately after getting out of the shower while my pours were all nice and open.  It smells so good!  It’s not perfumy but has a nice clean, pleasant scent.

The eye roller and acne treatments were used but I wasn’t really able to tell any difference.  If you’ve tried them and scene results we’d love to hear about it.

Be sure to print this money saving coupon for Orchid Face Care and take with you on your next trip to H-E-B (coupon limited to first 1,000 prints)

#GIVEAWAY: “I Caught Santa!” (10 winners!)

by Heather on December 9, 2011

Have you ever heard of the site icaughtsanata.com ?  I hadn’t until the other day.  It’s really a cute idea.  You can upload your own pictures and impose Santa into them.  Won’t the kids be surprised that “you caught” Santa?!

There are options for downloading the picture to your computer for printing at home or you can even upload and pick it up from Walgreens!  Pretty cool huh?  The site is very user friendly and only took me 10 minutes from start to finish.

If you would rather you can impose the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny or Even Cupid!  Endless possibilities with what you can create.  There is also a Groupon Deal (under Ft. Worth) for (4) pictures and (1) video for only $10!  ($24.98 value)
